There’s a quick and easy way to make things turn out amazingly perfect in the end though and I’m over at the.
I always thought it seemed so versatile and I could use it in so many different applications. The problem is that I didn’t use it.
It just sat there collecting dust.. Now I’ll have an occasion to use it every year at Halloween!.I cleaned the vase up and I gathered my supplies..I used this small bottle of chalkboard paint from DecoArt for this one.
I do have a giant can of chalkboard paint as well, but I love having these little bottles around for smaller scale projects..I gave the whole thing 2 very imperfect coats.
At one point I started to paint a little too early and didn’t let the previous coat dry.
It made the finish a little chunkier and messier, but it’s Halloween, so we’ll just say that now it looks extra spooky. So, any thoughts? This weekend was the Victoria Day long weekend here in Canada, the unofficial start of Summer.. My mother-in-law has a place on the beach only about a 30 minute drive from here so of course that’s where we spent the weekend.
And probably most weekends now that the hot weather is here!.How could we not spend as much time here as possible?.
I love this path to the beach, especially the moment when the water becomes visible.. And then you look out towards the pier and see the lighthouse..Looking in the other direction down towards the public beach.. At least a couple of sandcastles were built of course.. Later on in the evening I was reading and Chris came up to tell me to grab the camera and come down to the beach, quick..
